How material appears

Hiighlights displays short passages, quotes or descriptions of video and podcast moments, normally between 20 and 500 characters. Each public entry identifies the author or speaker and original source, and links to the source. Hiighlights does not claim that every extract is automatically fair use, fair dealing or lawful in every jurisdiction and context.

Ask for a correction or removal

An author, speaker, publisher or other rights holder can use the contact hub to request an attribution correction, review or removal. Please provide only what is reasonably needed:

• Your name and a reliable way to reply.
• The public Hiighlight ID, edition date or page URL.
• The original work and source URL.
• Your relationship to the work or why you are authorised to act.
• What is inaccurate or why you believe the extract should be removed.
• For a correction, the accurate author, speaker, title or source information.

Do not send passports, national identity cards or other sensitive identity documents through ordinary email. If more verification is reasonably needed, Hiighlights will explain why and seek a safer, proportionate method.

What happens next

Hiighlights may hide disputed content while reviewing the request. The available records, source, attribution and claimant’s relationship to the work will be considered. A response may correct attribution, restore the entry, keep it hidden, or remove its public content. Completed edition ranks are not recalculated after a removal.

If a submitter or another affected person believes important context was missed, they may reply with the source, permission or other relevant context and ask for another review. This is a practical appeal path. It is not presented as a statutory counter-notice process for any particular country.

Repeated infringement

Hiighlights may reject future submissions, block a source domain or restrict a contributor pattern when repeated, credible infringement findings show misuse of the service. Decisions consider the reliability and context of the reports, not merely the number of messages received.
